Правила доменов .SD
A .sd registration is a mandatory requirement if you wish to operate a website from Sudan. The TLD extension .sd for Sudan was introduced in the year 1997 and created for entities connected with Sudan. Though it occupies an active status in the world domain name registry, it is not used very often. The manager for Sudan Country Code Top Level Domain in the Internet is the Sudan Internet Society.
On 20 December 2002, ICANN signed a ccTLD Sponsorship Agreement with the Sudan Internet Society, assigning the role of the administrator responsible for assigning .sd domain names to the Sudan Internet Society. The terms and conditions for registration are in accordance with the policies of ICANN. The registry reserves the right to alter, delete or amend these terms and conditions from time to time.
Second level and third level domain names can be registered under various second level categories. All applications are screened by the registry and the registration service is accessed via their website http://www.isoc.sd. The amended terms and conditions are also published in this site.
Second level domains can be registered as:
- .com.sd: for commercial and profit making bodies
- .net.sd: for Internet related service providers
- .org.sd: organizations registered in Sudan
- .edu.sd: educational institutions in Sudan
- .med.sd: for medical service providers
- .tv.sd: for media entities
- .gov.sd: for government bodies in Sudan
- .info.sd: for information providing media and institutes.
Applicants located within Sudan should pay the fees within ten days of submitting the application,
and other international applicants should pay it within 21 days. In addition, the applicant should pay the annual maintenance fee on the effective
date or the date on which registration or update is registered by the Sudan Internet Society. If the applicant fails to pay the fees within the period,
the registry can revoke the .sd registration.
